Scope

Part 2 of this standard applies to passenger cars, commercial road vehicles and motorcycles. This Part will be designed to specify a conformance test plan according to the requirements stated in Part 1.

The conformance test plan specifies conformance test cases (CTCs) to test the application and application layer services of the vehicles via the electronic vehicle communication interface. The conformance test plan will be developed in accordance with ISO/IEC 9646-1 Information technology – Open Systems Interconnection – Conformance testing methodology and framework Part 1: General concepts

Purpose

Part 2 of this standard is required to provide the vehicle manufacturer a conformance test plan for the verification of ePTI requirements during development. The test plan is to be used to create a test specification and test system to verify the conformance of the vehicle's ePTI application and communication via the diagnostic connector
