Scope

Harmonisation of the technical and dimensional specifications of the ball bearing turn table for trailers and semi-trailers

Purpose

There is a market of tens of thousands of pieces for an application that concerns the European transport of goods on wheels (trucks, trailers and semi-trailers). The ball bearing turntables is a key component with a high-risk factor for road safety and currently there is no standards defining its technical, dimensional and construction specifications.

With this document, European and especially non-European manufacturers will have to align with the highest safety standards.

There will also be the advantage of having a homogeneous product both for the Original Equipment Manufacture and for the end user (truck drivers, fleet management, repairs)
