Revision of EN 13687-5, Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures - Test methods - Determination of thermal compatibility - Part 5: Resistance to temperature shock

Scope

This document specifies a method of assessing the effect of the resistance of surface protection systems to high temperature shock and hot chemicals.

Purpose

EN 13687-5 includes the test method providing information to allow for the assessment on the fulfilment of the requirements according to the characteristics of products subjected to the determination of thermal compatibility of repair mortar given in EN 1504-3. EN 1504-3 covers the Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures to ensure the continuity of reinforced concrete structures. EN 13687-5 is not up-to-date with regard to technical changes in the testing and assessment of products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures to ensure the continuity of reinforced concrete structures. EN 13687-5 is not up-to-date with regard to the intended use according to EN 1504-3. Therefore, a revision of EN 13687-5 is required with regard to the Annex A – the product standard EN 1504-3 shall give the provisions for the individual storage. The test standard shall give only the general climate conditions.
