Scope

Update and extend the scope and content of ISO 7851:2015, in accordance with the new title and scope of ISO/TC 134

Purpose

The name of ISO/TC 134 has been revised from "Fertilizers and soil conditioners" to "Fertilizers, soil conditioners and beneficial substances" in 2018. Meanwhile, the scope of ISO/TC 134 has also been revised therein. Therefore, it is very important to update this standard.

Considering its fundamental role in the fertilizer standard system, the revision is also essential to classification and will benefits the production, trading, consumers, distributors and quality supervision. This revision will modify the scope of this standard in accordance with the name and scope of ISO/TC 134, and add terms involved in the scope of beneficial substances.
