Scope

This standard specifies test methods for the determination of stability, strength and durability of the structure of all types of tables and desks without regard to use, materials, design/construction or manufacturing process.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to specify a standardized method for determining the stability, strength and durability of tables and desks. Tables and desks are used widely and this standard will assist specifiers in determining the safety and performance of tables and desks. End-users should experience safer furniture products.
