ISO/TC 24/SC 4 - ISO/NP 13319-3 "Determination of particle size distribution - Electrical sensing zone method - Part 3: Tuneable resistive pulse sensing method"

Scope

This guide will detail the measurements of particle size, size distribution, concentration and particle zeta potential of suspended particles, ranging from 20 nm up to 10 μm, using tunable resistive pulse sensing (TRPS). It will provide a comprehensive overview as to the methodologies that should be applied to achieve reproducible and accurate TRPS measurement results. It also includes best practice considerations, possible pitfalls, and how to alleviate/avoid these pitfalls.

Purpose

TRPS is a well-established technique for the measurement of nanomaterials in the advanced materials and biomaterial arenas. Having a standard will provide an invaluable reference for the many scientists using the technique in these areas.
