This document specifies classification and system nomenclature of liquid silicone rubber. This document applies to the classification and marking of liquid silicone rubber product.
The purpose of this proposal is to develop a standard on liquid silicone rubber classification and system nomenclature.
The silicone rubber market is huge and silicone products have played an important role in many kinds of applications. Currently part of customary name or definition about liquid silicone rubber become unsuitable with technology development due to different meaning and scope based on different people understanding, which induce negative influence for related industry communication. In order to promote efficient communication and make related work systematization, the standard development on liquid silicone rubber classification and system nomenclature become necessary and the work will promote related industry communication and development.
We propose to develop ISO standard of “Liquid silicone rubber- classification and system nomenclature “based on “Liquid Silicone rubber—Classification and system nomenclature” (GB/T 36804—2018).
