ISO/TC 126/SC 3 N 105, ISO/NP 4352 E-liquid, vapour products and aerosol - Determination of nicotine, propylene glycol andglycerol content - Liquid chromatographic method.

Scope

This standard specifies an analytical method to quantify nicotine, propylene glycol and glycerol content in vapour products and their aerosol by liquid chromatography. This standard allows the determination of low amount of nicotine, to avoid aromatic matrix effects, to run analyses faster (routine check), to be accurate.

Purpose

The method proposed is an alternative method of the ISO 20714 for all the laboratories with the expertise in e-liquids. This standard permits to determine low amount of nicotine and to avoid aromatic matrix effects. It should permit to have a low r&R.
