Scope

This proposal is to amend ISO 4254-7 to clarify the intended understanding of the requirements of 6.4 "Run-down of rotating functional elements in the crop flow system" of a forage harvester. Furthermore, the content of 6.3 "Cutterhead drive" is proposed to be moved as last para under 6.2 "Infeed mechanism".

Purpose

In order to provide for a clear understanding of the requirements for run-down of the rotating functional components of a forage harvester, a holistic consideration of the rotating functional components in the crop flow system is necessary. This includes the drive as well as the run-down, both of which need to be considered.

The wording of present 6.3 is related to infeed mechanism and therefore proposed to be moved as sub-clause under 6.2.
