Scope of the proposed deliverable
Review of the current version of ISO 3170 with the intention to updating the third edition text and incorporating updates from IP 475 and incorporating sections of HM 52, Measurement and Sampling of cargoes on board tank vessels using closed and restricted equipment.
Environmental pressures on the oil and gas industry restrict the manual sampling procedures of old. The standard needs to be updated to reflect permitted activities in modern day society. These changes have been reflected in the update to IP 475 which is the basis of this ISO standard.
