Scope

This part of IEC xxxxx-1 provides terms, test method, and report of sound variation detection system for fire detection systems based on IoT. It provides the evaluation method for each part of the fire detection system based on IoT in the block diagram, the characterization parameters, symbols, test setups and the conditions. In addition, this document defines the configuration items and criteria of standard space and firing situation for the quality evaluation measurement of sound field variation for fire detection system with IoT.

Purpose

The fire detection system is very indispensable part for the protection of the industrial or commercial environment to avoid the hazard. The conventional fire detection systems have a several limitation to detect the fire. To improve the detection accuracy the conventional fire detection sensor system is needed the other sensors such as smoke sensor, temperature sensor, or flame sensor. The proposed fire detection system using microphones is very accurate without any other sensors.
