ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-2 was first published in 2013. Since then it has been adopted by many organizations and is now widely used in industry. ISO systematic review has resulted in participating member bodies agreeing to keep the standard, with some member bodies suggesting areas for improvement.
JTC1/SC7/WG26 has agreed those areas where the existing standard needs to be improved. The purpose of this New Proposal is to improve ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-2 by simplifying the dynamic test process, adding clarity and removing minor mistakes.
