Scope

This International Standard proposal specifies methods for measuring tyre noise emissions on drum in laboratory conditions.

This International Standard proposal is applicable to passenger car radial tyre and truck radial tyre.

Purpose

The aim of compile this international standard is in order to improve the accuracy of tyre noise test result, as well as provide convenience for different test labs test results correlation later on.Furthermore, it also keep the possibility of compare test result with coast-by test method on track in a later time.The method of drum is more effective in, costsaving, and time-saving. It's also in accordance with the trend of the national and international industrial standard. The method is very useful and necessary for exchange and sharing.
