Scope

This European Standard specifies a harmonized nomenclature for typical components of respiratory protective devices (RPD). It does not specify which or how many components are used and where they are located in the RPD.

This document serves as a document in the field of respiratory protection devices (RPD)

Purpose

The present standard has not been revised for many years. This NWIP will ensure the standard is fully revised, harmonised and updated with the present day Nomenclature of Components of Respiratory Protective Devices.
