Standards Development
A compilation of terms and definitions for facility management in relation to buildings and civil engineering works. Terms and definitions reflecting standardized terminology relevant to construction works needed by those having a responsibility for facility management. The standard will include some terms which have already been standardized by ISO 41011 Facility management but will differ significantly from that standard. It will be published in English and Russian
Communication is important to the implementation and operation of the concepts of facility management in relation to buildings and civil engineering works. Precise descriptions appertaining to buildings and civil engineering works are needed by those undertaking this type of work in this context. By providing connectivity between ISO 41011 and the terminology work being undertaken by TC59 this standard will be helpful not just to committees but to the entire building and civil engineering industry.
