This Committee Draft specifies:
a) a class (classes are limited to a single top‑level class), blocks of properties and minimum product data requirements for rotating electrical machines necessary for electronic information exchange; and
b) conventions for identifiers, metadata and registration to enable consistent uptake in the IEC Common Data Dictionary (IEC CDD), domain IEC 60034‑37.
This document applies to rotating electrical machines within the scope of IEC 60034‑1. Portions of the data model may be applicable to linear machines and traction machines. The class and property set are intended for use by manufacturers, suppliers, customers, software developers and data integrators. Informative material (examples, implementation guides, temporary URLs) is non‑normative and is provided in annexes or in IEC CDD project documentation.
