This part of IEC 60034 applies to three-phase synchronous and asynchronous generators, motor-generators and related systems for adjustable speed hydropower units, including pumped storage applications, that have a rated output of 10 MVA and above, and a rated voltage of 6kV and above.
This document supplements basic requirements for rotating machines given in IEC60034-1 and IEC60034-33.
