Standards Development
ISO/IEC 14763-6 specifies requirements for the tasks and skill set for ICT network infrastructure professionals, as well as related education programs. This standard recognizes the expert contributions to compliant infrastructures with references to several cabling standards such as the ISO/IEC 14763 and ISO/IEC 11801 series. It also acknowledges the existence of education and certification programs, providing a framework to strengthen and enhance these programs.
NOTE It does not deny the use of various existing skill frameworks, or hinder existing systems or national laws and regulations, but rather complement them so that they can be applied to a broader range of human resources.
