Scope

This document and its associated software TDG61083-4, is applicable to software processing of records taken by digital recorders used for measurements during tests with alternating current and direct current as specified in IEC 62475:2026[1]. It is also applicable to evaluation of alternating and direct voltage in high voltage dielectric testing as specified in IEC 60060-1:2025, IEC 60060-2:2025, IEC 60060-3:2006 and in IEC 61180:2016.

The software TDG61083-4 generates an output data file intended to be processed by an evaluation software. Criteria for approval of such evaluation software are given as reference values and their acceptance limits.

This document does not apply to instruments that rely only on streaming data for analysis, nor does it apply to power quality parameters.

Hardware with built-in firmware that cannot accept external numerical input data is not covered by this document.
