This part of IEC 62885 is applicable for material efficiency aspects for mains or battery-operated dry vacuum cleaners, including water filter vacuum cleaners, for household or similar use. This document provides measurement methods to assess reliability (3.2.2) of dry-cleaning vacuum cleaners.
NOTE 1 Methods for the determination of reliability (3.2.2) for dry and wet cleaning robots for household or similar use can be found in IEC/ASTM 62886-xx.
NOTE 2 Methods for the determination of reliability (3.2.2) of batteries for surface cleaning appliances are described in IEC/ASTM 62885-10.
NOTE 3 The method for the assessment of reliability (3.2.2) is based on EN 45552 (General method for the assessment of the durability (3.2.1) of energy-related products).
This document is not applicable for surface cleaning appliances for commercial use (3.1.1) in accordance with 3.1.1 (3.1.1)
This document is intended to be used for reliability (3.2.2) declaration and verification. This document is not intended to be used to assess the durability (3.2.1).
NOTE 4 This document is the basis for potential future work regarding durability (3.2.1).
