In respect of cables and their reaction to fire, these protective measures can be expressed by reference to the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), and the relevant classes according to EN 13501‑6.
NOTE 2 Whilst the CPR requires the manufacturer to declare the reaction to fire performance of the cable in accordance with procedures and classifications that are common across the EU, it is the responsibility of the Member State to determine which classification is required for any particular application or installation. National statutory requirements could therefore override the levels quoted here.”
