Scope

This part of IEC 60269 series applies to fuse-links for general applications, mainly used for line and cable protection, defined as utilization class “gG”.

IEC 60269-100:202X applies with the supplementary requirements or modifications of this document. The following characteristics of the fuses are specified in this document in addition to or modified from part 100:

 minimum rated breaking capacities

 time-current characteristics

 I2t characteristics

 Conventional times and currents

 utilization category “gG”

 Breaking range

This document also includes supplementary or modified type tests and requirements for marking.

In addition to this document and part 100, a fuse system of IEC 60269-300 series shall be selected to form a complete set of requirements and tests for a fuse.
