Scope

This document specifies an analytical method for the determination of platinum on a material considered homogeneous. The platinum content of the samples lies preferably between 50 ‰ (parts per thousand by mass) and 990 ‰ (parts per thousand by mass). Fineness above 990,0 ‰ (parts per thousand by mass) can be determined using a spectroscopy method by difference ISO 15093.

NOTE Lower contents of platinum can be analysed referring to this method.
