Scope

This document describes an analytical method for the determination of gold with a nominal content of up to 990 ‰ (parts per thousand), including alloys according to EN ISO 9202:2019 using inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry.

Preferentially the gold content of the alloys lies between 50 ‰ (parts per thousand) and 990 ‰ (parts per thousand) gold. Fineness above 990,0 ‰ can be determined using a spectroscopy method by difference ISO 15093:2020

NOTE Lower contents of gold can be analysed referring to this method.
