Standards Development
This International Standard specifies the technique for the determination of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) in plastics of electrotechnical products.
The gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) test methods are described in the normative part of this standard. The GC-MS and LC-MS methods are suitable for the determination of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) in plastics of electrotechnical products.
These test methods have been evaluated for use with EPS (expanded polystyrene foam), XPS (extruded polystyrene foam), PP(Polypropylene), Epoxy and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) within concentrations ranging from xxxx mg/kg to xxxx. The use of these methods for other types of materials or concentration ranges outside those specified below have not been evaluated.
