Scope

This document specifies a method using light microscopy for the differentiation of the colouration process of fabrics, between dyeing or printing with pigments and, dyeing or printing with dyes.

This document is applicable to coloured fabrics with the exception of those made of fibres coloured by melt or dope dyeing.
