This document specifies the design data and methods for prescriptive and custom mechanically laminated timber (MLT) panels manufactured in accordance with ISO 25204 for use in out‑of‑plane bending applications where design loads are applied normal to the plane and across the entire MLT width.
Where an applied load does not apply across the entire MLT width , e.g., concentrated load or line load parallel to the laminations, the mechanical connection designed to transfer the applied load from the loaded laminations to the unloaded laminations is outside the scope of this document.
