Standards Development
This document provides a framework of fundamental competences, including proficiency levels, for people in the field of innovation management.
The framework describes all the essential knowledge and skill types required to effectively establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve an innovation management system in accordance with ISO 56001.
It includes practice competences directly related to innovation management activities and tasks and general competences that are not unique to the field but can be considered within that context.
All competences are intended for guidance without prescribing specific tools or methods.
This document does not provide job or role definitions, competence development guidance, personal certification requirements, evaluation methodology for the organization, or an innovation management body of knowledge. It does not directly address organizational competences or capabilities.
