Scope

This British Standard gives recommendations for the installation in new residential park homes, transportable accommodation units, and caravan holiday homes of:

a)    freestanding biomass and solid-fuel fire appliances having a rated output of ≤7 kW, verified to confirm that the surface temperature of the hearth does not exceed 100 °C;

b)    freestanding biomass and solid fuel cooking appliances with a rated heat output to the room of ≤7 kW, verified to confirm that the surface temperature of the hearth does not exceed 100 °C; and

c)     biomass and solid-fuel central-heating appliances, having a rated output of ≤25 kW, verified to confirm that the surface temperature of the hearth does not exceed 100 °C.This British Standard does not cover:

1)      installation of open fires;

2)      installation in camping pods; or

3)      installation in leisure accommodation vehicles, except installation in caravan holiday homes.
