Scope

This document describes the test method and procedure to evaluate algal bloom removal rate using microbubble in onsite algal bloom removal facility. Algal bloom removal facility using microbubble is a device that removes microalgae and cyanobacteria by floating them on the water when it occur in rivers and lakes with a depth of 0,5 m or more with slow or no flowrate.

The evaluation of the removal rate is conducted by comparing the amount of microalgae and cyanobacteria in a river or a lake before and after applying microbubbles. The range of water and weather conditions are served for test because they influenced to the characteristics of microbubbles and it makes the difference of algal bloom removal rate.
