This standard provides information and additional requirements for biomechanical effects and risks of amusement ride riders in addition to requirements according to ISO-17842.
This standard could be useful for reducing potential discomfort and biomechanical risks in particularly dynamic rides featuring special effects which can cause biomechanical effects in combination with psychoemotional effects.
For design requirements refer to ISO 17842-1.
The document of reference for amusement ride and amusement devices approval for use is ISO 17842, as it contains already all safety requirements.
Standard 17929 provides additional information and data to further explain the nature, the potential effects of impacts and methods of acceleration impulse analysis.
The standard is not applicable to models and types of amusement ride which were put into operation before its effective date and are considered service proven.
