Scope

This document specifies definition and requirements for the interoperability and safety of dynamic wireless power transfer (D-WPT) for railways via magnetic field (MF-WPT) to electric railway rolling stock in motion or stationary for the purpose of supplying electric energy to motor or ESS.   This document will specify the general requirements of D-WPT. This document will be applied to railway rolling stocks such as LRT, Tram, Urban train and high-speed train.This document specifies the interoperable conditions of dynamic wireless power transfer for railways. Interoperability needs to be supported when the manufacturer of primary device is different from the manufacturer of secondary device. Physical interface and efficiency requirements will be described.Also, it specifies the safety requirements of dynamic wireless power transfer for railways. Safety requirements include electrical safety and electromagnetic safety. Electromagnetic safety includes electromagnetic field (EMF) safety with human bodies and electromagnetic interference (EMI) to devices.
