Scope

This document specifies general requirements, construction, performance, and testing methods of transmitting heading device (THD) using geomagnetic principle as required by chapter V, SOLAS 1974 (as amended) and as specified by IMO Resolution MSC.116(73).This document is intended to be used in conjunction with IMO Resolution A.694(17) and with IEC 60945.
