Scope

This document specifies the minimum operational, functional and performance requirements, as well as methods of testing and the corresponding required test results, for heading control systems for high-speed craft, which required to comply with the performance standards adopted by the IMO Resolution A.822(19).

This document assumes the use of a conventional arrangement. Where other arrangements are provided, the requirements of this document apply insofar as they are applicable, and appropriate justification provided where deviation from the requirements is necessary.
