This document explores the different daylight metrics used around the world that may be specifically designed to address different climates, seasonal specific sunlight availability, altitude, latitude and longitude, cultural values, and seasonal weather patterns. This document also provides quality views criteria for all regularly occupied areas within a building. Finally, the design process is outlined which lists necessary actions during design, construction, commissioning, post commissioning and post occupancy evaluations. It covers new constructions as well as the retrofit of existing buildings and adaptation to changing needs.
