Scope

This document specifies a routine method for the determination of carbon, sulphur, silicon, phosphorus, nickel, cobalt, chromium and copper contents in ferronickels by spark optical emission spectrometry (S-OES). This method cannot be used for arbitration analysis.

The method is applicable to the content ranges (mass fraction) given in Table 1.
