Scope

This part of IEC 60034 defines criteria for assessing the insulation system of stator/rotor windings which that are specified and designed to be sealed against moisture ingress. This International Standard describes tests which can be used for type and quality control (when specified) of stator or rotor winding insulation valid for single or polyphase AC and DC rotating electrical machines with a voltage of 16,5 kV or lower.
