Overview: Under the direction of PEL/17/3, is responsible for a full revision of BS 6423; the scope of work to include; a) restructure the document to meet BS 0, b) structure the document to meet IEC 61439 series and BS 7671, c) check compatibility with legislation and HSE recommendations (Electricity at Work Act), d) follow industry current best/safe practice, e) identify levels of maintenance - minor / routine / major / emergency, f) include recommendations on replacement device selection or device substitution include guidance on arc-flash assessment/precautions - with consideration of assumption of danger and risk assessment.
