Overview: Responsible to the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee for setting policy and strategy to meet the standardization needs of the construction and built environment (excluding fire and steel standardization). To oversee work programmes of TCs and ensure that BSI standards work is properly focused on issues of key relevance to the industry. The oversight role to include advising on appropriate members and chairmen for TCs to ensure appropriate stakeholder representation. At the main policy committee level, CB/- ensure coordination on common policy issues at a national and international level, and advise BSI on appropriate responses and initiatives as required. Advise on adjudication of policy and technical issues as they arise.
