Overview: Under the direction of the PVE/1, is responsible for providing advice to product committees on the available and appropriate inspection, testing and acceptance criteria to be used in the manufacture of pressure equipment to national and international standards. To make proposals for the development of the inspection and testing section of PD 5500. Advise on the reply to queries on aforementioned aspects. Select the UK representation for CEN and ISO committees dealing with subjects within these terms of reference. Recommend any R & D necessary for the development of standards.
