Overview: Under the direction of GW/1, is responsible for producing British Standards relating to social alarms including devices used to trigger & communicate alarms, interconnections and communications protocols GW/1/12 is responsible for UK input to European and international committees, including CLC/TC 79/WG 4, CEN/TC 431 and CEN/TC 431/WG 2. GW/1/12 provides assistance and input to the GW/1 sub-committee structure and other relevant national, European and international committees, as well as other public interest and policy groups that may impact on the standards in this area.
