Overview: Under the direction of CPL/61 this subcommittee is responsible for providing UK input to IEC TC 61 and CENELEC TC 61 on matters relating to IEC/EN 60335 Part 2s for the safety of household and similar motorised electrical appliances including: vacuum cleaners, kitchen machines, battery chargers, appliances for the care of skin and hair, electric toothbrushes, pumps, air cleaning appliances, fans, door drives and roller blinds, insect killers, sewing machines, clocks, projectors, furniture with electrically motorized parts and self-balancing personal transport devices for use with batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes. This committee also provides UK input to IEC SC 61H and CENELEC TC 61 on matters relating to electric fence energizers.
