Overview: Under the direction of L/1 (which is the Executive Committee of the British Electrotechnical Committee), is responsible for providing the UK input to the IEC CAB and for providing oversight and coordination of the UK committees for the CA Systems and their schemes, as follows: • To oversee the operation and management of the UK management committees for specified CA Systems, namely L/6/1, L/6/2, L/6/9 & L/6/10; To nominate and brief the UK CAB member, or their alternate, prior to CAB meetings or on votes by correspondence; To nominate and brief UK participants in CAB working groups; To review proposals for new IEC CA Systems and schemes, particularly with regard to market relevance; and To consider and vote upon ISO/IEC conformity assessment standards in cooperation with CAS/1.
