Overview: Under the direction of the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee, is responsible for BS 7910 Guide to methods for assessing the acceptability of flaws in metallic structures and BS 7608 Code of practice for fatigue design and assessment of steel structures. It provided the UK input to the European Working Group CEN/TC 121/WG 14, Fitness for purpose.
