Overview: Under the direction of the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee, is responsible for the co-ordination of the UK view on all aspects of work on standards for iron and steel which are covered by ISE committees; To discuss and agree the steel industry position on topics for consideration at CEN/TC459; To agree representation at other international meetings on steel standards such as ISO TC/17 which cover a wide range of items and which are not the specific responsibility of one technical committee; To act as the focal point and interface between BSI and the UK Steel industry on all general topics concerning standards matters and the UK input to ISO/TC 17/SC 21.
