This standard stipulates consideration for cognitive accessibility of assistive products to improve medication adherence, and considerations for managing and supporting users.
This proposal presents “restrictions in daily medication management" and "needs of persons with disabilities related to cognitive impairment" and indicates "recommended design items of products and systems to meet user needs".
The assistive products for taking medication are as follows.
Support on taking doses at set times
Support on taking prescribed medicines, dosage, and administration
Prevention of multiple medication
Support on maintaining awareness of how to take medication and its importance
Monitoring of medication
