Scope

BS 6465-1 gives recommendations on the design of sanitary facilities. It covers the recommended scale of provision of sanitary and associated appliances in new buildings and buildings undergoing major refurbishment. It also covers the recommended scale of provision of portable toilets.

Purpose

A revision of BS 6465-1 has been proposed to ensure the standard is updated to reflect guidance, regulations, and other changes in the industry, since it's previous publication and amendment in 2009.
