Results obtained from this smallscale chamber test method can be used for quality control (factory production control – ‘FPC’) based on correlation established by reference chamber test methods according to ISO, EN or ASTM standards. The establishment of a correlation is described in Annex D.
The conversion of ISO 124602 into an EN ISO standard would make the application in Europe much easier. ISO 12460.2 provides important information for the establishment of correlations between different test methods for determination of formaldehyde emission which are important also for other test methods of the EN ISO 12460 series.
