Scope

This draft European Standard specifies a test method for determining the (splitting) indirect tensile strength of cylindrical specimens of bituminous mixtures. NOTE Determination of the water sensitivity of bituminous specimens in accordance with EN 1269712 is based on determination of the indirect tensile strength in accordance with this test method.

Purpose

The purpose for revision is

- to correct the titles for normative references;

- to amend and correct the terminology for requirement on apparatus.
