Based on the existing ISO/CD 22705-1 Italy proposes the international standardization of requirements for measuring and testing of extension springs.
The future ISO standard should enhance the communication between spring manufacturers and customer industries, e.g. the automotive industry incl. suppliers, the mechanical engineering and the electrical industry, and sets minimum requirements for measuring and testing of springs. The present proposal applies to extension springs only. The torsion springs can be drafted later on as soon as the structure and general content has been discussed on the bases of compression and extension springs.
